Can't Get Content to Show Above Header & Footer

    Hi guys,

    I recently added this on-click slide-in functionality from one of the recent ET blog posts:

    My issue is I am trying to get the content to display above the header and footer. I thought it would be as simple as adjusting the z-index value, but for whatever reason the content still is hidden behind both the header and footer that were created in the theme builder. I would really appreciate if someone could take a look and give me a second opinion (it's only viewable in tablet + smartphone mode)
