Purchased lifetime unlimited Divi Ultimate and now need to upgrade?

    Divi Ultimate Child Theme

    A few years ago, I purchased a lifetime unlimited to Divi Ultimate theme. So any updates or upgrades should be free. And now I must upgrade to pro? It was quite expensive when I purchased the theme a few years ago, and now I need to pay extra? "lifetime unlimited" - this does not mean unlimited anymore?

    Hi Jocelyn. You can still download & use our Divi Ultimate Child Theme that you purchased previously.

    As for all the separate new products, it can only be accessed by our new membership plan.

    If you want, we can upgrade you to Pro membership (1 year) for Free.

    I'm with Jocelyne on this. I have lifetime memberships of several developers, including Divi, and that means lifetime. I get updated to the latest versions as they are released. I expected the same from you for those products that were covered by the lifetime contract. It appears that it was 'lifetime' until you brought out a new contract type which turned it into a lifetime license without upgrades. But, of course, that becomes less and less viable as WordPress/Divi gets updated. It does seem a bit shabby.

    Previously, you purchased our bundle sales, which includes lifetime updates & support for the products listed at the side of your username.

    The time when you bought our bundle sales, we are selling our products individually, without any membership plan. As we are releasing our new Divi Block, we are still selling it individually.

    But as we are releasing more products, we decided that it would be easier & user friendly for our customer to choose membership plan, instead of selling it individually. That's why we changed our pricing plan to membership years ago. All newer products are only included in the membership plan. Previous members will still be entitled for the individual products that they purchased.

    Hope this clarify the changes made for our pricing plan.

    Thanks for the prompt reply. I've no problem with the new membership subscription model and the revenue stream it brings. My concern was about the updating of 'lifetime' products already licensed. From your reply, can I take it that I do have access to the latest versions of the products in the bundle I bought? If so, I have no problem, although I can't immediately see that the versions available to me are the latest.

    You can view all your purchases here: https://divi.help/categories/your-purchases.97/

    Under each products, there's a Download section. From there, you can see the latest version of the respective product.

    For newer versions, whenever there's new update, you can update them via Wordpress admin dashboard. Let me know if you still have any other questions.

    Thank you. My concern was triggered by the lack of dates on the update posts so I was not certain I had access to the newest updates.

    If there's a bug reported, we will fix it & release a new version. So far, there's no outstanding issue / bug with our plugins & child theme. If they're running just fine, then most likely you're running the latest version.
