Solved all blog modules shows post-image second time if excerpts are turned "on"

v 8.0.1 is running. everything else is up2date

i have created some sections with the standard divi blog module and DU Blog List Layouts. i want show the Post-Image, some Meta, Headline and the excerpt. So – if i turn on the excerpt the blog modul shows now the image inside the excerpt area a second time. when i turn off the exerpt its gone.

this happens not only with divi blog modul – it happens with the DU Blog List Sections as well.

very wired – it came with one of the last divi updates. but i don't know when. we need to go live in a few days and i try to fix it – but no idea how. some weeks ago everything was fine. other divi websites without DU don't have this problem.

i have turned on the exerpts and can show an archive page created with theme builder. if you scroll down you can see the DU Blog List (Horizontal Big) Layout but now with two post images:

Yes, this CSS solved it for now.
But what do you think, what is the reason? with display:none!important it's not really fix.
don't read me wrong it is cool and thanks a lot! i can continue working! thats what counts.

But it's from the DU child theme or it's the divi update or both together? what you think?
may you can test excerpts with your layouts as well?

 

yes maybe … this was my first guess as well and i deleted the image at the template but the issue was still there. and on the other websites there is not this issue. we have round 10 pure news websites. all with excerpts. no problem. and we have two other news websites with DU. i just update two of them. both websites running normal …

so i can break it down to the LMR-Website only. i think i redesign post template and if this not fix it trying out turn off and on some plugins.
but not much installed ... modern event calendar and wpb filterable portfolio are the bigger ones
