Hello, i am trying to create a post template, and I have assigned my homepage as my posts page, but I want the posts to show up as excerpts with a read more button on the homepage, how do I achieve this when creating the template? do I use a post content module or blog module?

this is a link to a site's homepage that has what i am describing ---> https://www.hairliciousinc.com/

    thank you.

To edit the Posts page, you will need to create a new template in WP Admin > Divi > Theme Builder.

And for the Posts page, you just have to use blog module. There's no need for post content module, as there's no custom content in the Posts page.

Hi, in my post template, i used the blog module instead of the post content module like you said, but after adding a post, the content does not appear when previewed, only my dynamic post title comes on, please can you kindly go through my first question for a better understanding of what I am trying to achieve and i also added a link to a page that has what I'm trying to model.

    Thank you.

Which content are you referring to? The blog module should show the featured image, title, description & read more button:

If you're referring to other stuffs, kindly share your URL.

hi, i used the blog module in my template, but it's not pulling the post I already have, instead it shows no result found even when I have a post published.

this is a picture of the template.

I believe you're referring to the editing of the Posts page, not single post page.

For that case, you should select the below for the template:

i have used the template on the blog like you pointed out, now when I view the post, I see it but with no styling, no featured image, it just appears the way I typed it in the classic editor.

also, in the template, when I use the blog module, isn't it supposed to pull in the post I have, so I can customize how it should look? it does not do that, it still says results not found.

i don't know what I am doing wrong, it is my first time designing my website, please help.

here is a picture of how the post appears

Perhaps you didn't publish your posts (still in draft). Make sure that you published them, then only they will appear in blog module.
'Blog' template is for Posts Page.
'All Posts' template is for Single Blog Post Page.

When you view the post, it's the 'All Posts' template. If you only have post content module in the custom body area, then it will only show your content in the classic editor.
