    Hello,

I need to use a custom post type on my site and was wondering if it will be possible to use the Archive plugin for that. I'm already using it for the default blog post will also need a custom post. Please let me know how I'd go about doing that.

    Thanks.

Our archive plugin will apply the selected design to custom post type archive as well.

Thanks for the quick response. Is it possible to apply a separate layout to your CPT?

If you wish to apply different design for CPT, then you will need to download our plugin zip & unzip it & look for cpt folder. Find the design that you wish to use & upload the 2 files into your child theme folder.

And lastly, remember to change archive-yourCPTname.php into your own CPT name.

Last question, since I am not technical and don't want to mess with code, would your plugin still work OK on my blog post, if I opted to use the Divi theme builder to build a theme for my CPT?

It should work just fine. For those post archives that are not overridden by Theme Builder should be using our archive plugin design.

Thanks! If there are any videos or detailed instructions you can share regarding the going with your first method (for both the ultimate blog and ultimate archive plugins), I could give it a try. Otherwise, I might use the Divi theme builder...even thought I really like your plugins :).

The method I mentioned on previous post only works for archive plugin, not blog plugin. Blog plugin can't set different style for CPT.

To set different style for CPT for archive plugin, here's the step by step:
    1. Download our plugin zip on your desktop: https://divi.help/threads/divi-ultimate-archive-plugin-v1-0-0.1838/
    2. Unzip it & look for this folder Divi-Ultimate-Archive-Plugin > cpt
    3. You will find tons of subfolder inside, such as: Big (Overlap) + Sidebar
    4. Choose your desired style & click into the folder.
    5. You will then see 2 files inside. One is CSS file, another one is archive-yourCPTname.php
    6. Rename the archive-yourCPTname.php into your own CPT name.
    7. Lastly, upload the file to your child theme folder.
