Modal/ overlay won't show on top Z-index

    I am a big fan of DIVI and I was glad to find a good plugin for handling pdf download via email request.
    (I bought "Simple Download Monitor" & "Squeeze Form")
    Now there is a big problem I encountered with the Modal / overlay function: it won't show on top of other divi layers, and elements like header and some divi blurb modules are even in front of the modal and its backdrop. (I tried a bit on z-index: 1000000, but it did not work, s. screenshot.)

    Did anybody solve this problem? How? I would be very glad for help! Thanks in advance...

    Thanks a lot for your willingness to inspect! I am afraid, I can only offer a static copy as a dummysite (since original installation is on a customers' premise).

    If you click on one of the "Download Specification..." Buttons, the unwanted modal behaviour shows up.

    Upon further checking, it's because it's rendering the popup within the module itself. Thus, it will always have this popup overlap issue. It's not possible to resolve it through CSS.

    The only way is for the plugin to inject the popup within the page-container div.

    Ok, thanks, that sounds interesting. Since I do not really know how to inject it into the page-container div –
    could you share advice (or tutorial?) on how to deal with it? I never got that deep under the hood of divi, but I would be willing to learn...

    Can anybody give me hint on how to inject a modal into the page container div?
    (I searched and only found plugins and scripts for injecting into DIVI's Header/Footer...) Any help is appreciated;-)

    For you issue, it need to be solved by the plugin developer itself. You can't fix it with custom coding.

    Thus, it's best for you to contact the plugin developer instead.

    Thanks for your reply – ok, I understand. Unfortunately, simple download manager/ squeeze form guided me the other way round – to adapt DIVI. So, we walk through a perfect circle;-)
