Remove Featured Image Cover In Blog Posts

Hi my site is pulling the featured image into a cover image in all blog posts. I've tried everything to stop this including toggling the place thumbs on post button, using custom CSS, and using the conditionally display feature image on singular pages and post plugins but nothing is working. Any ideas on how to stop this from happening?

I think Divi has an option for that. You may try to disable it at: WP Admin > Divi > Theme Options > Layout > Single Post Layout > Place Thumbs on Posts

If still not working, kindly share your URL & I'll see what CSS can be used to fix your case.

Yes I did try that as my post says above. I also tried custom CSS and a plugin to solve. I'd be grateful if you were able to look, the URL is jrehardware.com

    Thanks so much.

Are you talking about the feature images being displayed in the blog module? I.e. here:

    jrehardware.com/jre-news/

If so, you should be able to disable them in the blog module settings at:

Blog Settings > Content > Elements > Show Featured Image = NO

Apologies if I've misunderstood your question.

Sorry no that's not what I mean. Like the featured image is showing as a cover photo on each individual blog post. As an example - https://jrehardware.com/bathroom-hardware/frameless-shower/

I've tried this already - WP Admin > Divi > Theme Options > Layout > Single Post Layout > Place Thumbs on Posts

    Thanks for the clarification.

The image on that post is being added by an image module within a custom body layout set in the Divi Theme Builder.

Here's how to remove the image module:
    1. Navigate to your WordPress Dashboard and go to Divi > Theme Builder.
    2. In the Theme Builder, find the template that is assigned to your blog posts. It will likely be a template with a custom body area that applies to all posts or a specific category of posts.
    3. Click on the custom body area to edit the layout.
    4. Within the layout editor, locate the image module that is adding the featured image cover.
    5. Delete the image module by clicking on it and then clicking the delete icon (a trash can) in the module's settings bar that pops up.
    6. After removing the module, save your layout by clicking on the green checkmark button.
    7. Save the changes to the Theme Builder by clicking the "Save Changes" button in the upper right corner.
    8. Check one of your posts to confirm that the featured image cover has been removed. If not, clear your cache and check again.
This should remove the featured image cover from all post that the template is assigned to.
