    Hey how would I go about adding a search field like liveaquaria.com has on their header to my header in place of where the Phone and hours are now?

    You just need to add a search bar module there.

    OK I added a smart search plugin that I like and then added the shortcode to a code module, but I'm having 1 issue with the z index of displayed results appearing behind the menu.

    Try to go to the Row settings (the one with the search code module) > Advanced > Custom CSS > Main Element & add z-index: 99999!important;
