Solved Update Child Theme

We don't have automatic update feature for our child theme. You will need to update it manually. Here's an example: https://divi.help/threads/divi-powerful-child-theme-v1-1-0.2485/#post-7757

Basically for every updates, it should just affect the assistant plugin. Any custom changes you made to the child theme will stay intact with our updates.

Lastly, our child theme should work with any version of Divi. We coded it in a safe way to ensure compatibility. But if new Divi updates indeed broke our child theme (unlikely), then we will issue a fix for that & you will need to update it manually.

Other than that, most of our updates are just adding new features & premade elements. In short, it's totally optional for you to update our child theme, unless you need to access the new features or new Divi updates broke your site (unlikely).

 

When you activate a Divi Child Theme, the Divi parent theme is also considered as 'activated' & some files will be overwritten by the child theme. Basically, the child theme acts as another layer to overwrite the parent theme.

For Divi Powerful Child theme: If you update the Divi theme, all the new Divi features should apply as well. We coded it in a safe way to avoid conflict with Divi updates.
