Copying posts to another website - gives the date

    I am copying posts from one website to another.

    I have used WordPress Tools Export posts and create an xml file, then imported the file.

    In the original website the posts have the link:

    https://stfillanschurch.org.uk/reflections-from-the-pew-4/

    after importing the post has the link:

    https://forthviewchurch.org.uk/2021/07/14/reflections-from-the-pew-4/

    As expected https://stfillanschurch.org.uk has been changed to https://forthviewchurch.org.uk

    but I do not want the date the post was created 2021/07/14 to be inserted.

    Is there any way I can control/remove this?

    Just noticed that the images are not copied.

    Is there a better way to copy posts from one website to another?

    Hey David,

    You may be able to fix the URLs by changing the permalink format to "Post name", as per the instructions in this post:

    https://yoast.com/help/how-do-i-change-the-permalink-structure/

    I don't personally do much post migration, so I'm not really across the various options and their capabilities. Hopefully someone else can offer some suggestions...
