Solved DU Header with Divi Mega Menu

    Hi DU:

    Using Divi Ultimate Child Theme and I am using DU Header & Footer.
    DU Header: Header & Navigation Style 1 selected via Theme Customizer with 'Style 1' selected
    I have enabled the Mega Menu Fix so it is now full width.

    Is there a way to customize the drop down menu style?

    1) I am looking to change the look of the first menu line in the dropdown a bit more than what is there now:
    • all caps & adjust font size
    2) Hover: I am looking to have the hover state more pronounced that it is currently.
    • background change on hover to #00163A + font white

    Yup - that worked!

    Q: Divi Ultimate Child Theme version says 8.0.1 but I noticed here that the current version is 8.1.0. I updated the plugin 8.1.5... maybe I'm missing something.

    You can ignore the child theme version, as it's just an empty child theme.

    The main thing is that the assistant plugin should be running the latest version, 8.1.5.
    **Our website only shows 8.1.0, but the latest version is 8.1.5, because all our updates are now through Wordpress admin dashboard.

    So you're good to go.

    Mobile DU Header: Is there an adjustment for the Mobile Section as the Address seems to be hidden under the Primary Menu.
    • Do I add margin (px, %, or vh) or should it be padding
    I'll try a few things to see but was wondering if you have already adjusted this. Viewed on iPhone XR

    Seems like your MHMM plugin is removing the padding.

    For a quick fix, try the below CSS in Divi > Theme Options > Custom CSS:

    Hmmm ... don't want to use Mhmm menu and just stay with DU menu style (which should be just the standard Divi Menu - yes?). Only want to use Mhmm's mega menu which I can trigger from the DU menu. I'll check to see with them why it is overridding DU Header.

    Yup. On mobile, we revert back to the default Divi header, so that you can have slide in / fullscreen menu on mobile.

    And MHMM is adding CSS to make the page container to have padding top 0. But you can simply fix this issue by applying the CSS above.

    hmmm thinking I might rebuild this trying Divi Block... Instead of having several different plugins.... etc.

    So with Divi Block > you build a template based on the designs (header) then export json file to Divi Theme Builder and then customize there?

    Yup. With Divi Block, you can just mix & match the premade header design + effects blocks & export it as json file, which can then be imported to your Divi Theme Builder.

    Hmmm ... I should have looked at this before trying the other plugin...having challenges with mobile menu.

    Can I use this in conjunction with DU Child Theme - Or is this better to build native Divi with Divi Block components... thus avoiding having all those different layouts. My god you're making me rethink a bunch of stuff now... LOL

    Any specials for folks that have been with DU?

    You should be able to use it with DU child theme just fine.
