Solved I can not get anchor text to work using visual builder. Can anyone help?

I am building my first Divi 3.0 website for my own digital marketing company and I'm coming across a few little problems here and there.

I am using the divi 2.19.14 plugin and when adding anchor text to the visual builder I get directed to either 404 error page or nothing at all.

I am highlighting the text as I usually do, clicking the link button, and entering the URL or permalink. Whilst hovering over the linked button the cursor does not change icon like it should do either.

Admittedly, I am still finding my way around Divi builder so it's probably a very small over see on my behalf.

Please can someone help ASAP?

Thank you for your reply but my web hoster fixed thsi problem saying my .htaccess files wasn't activated.

I'm sure I will need lots of help whilst learning how to use Divi so you will be hearing from me soon haha.
