    Hi,

Is there a way to see what could be causing my website to be so slow. I have used alot of images but made sure they are small. Just wondering if there are any modules on my site that may be drastically slowing it down. The page size is 8.0mb which i know is large but don't know what could be contributing to this.

    Webiste is dev.fitnesscanterbury.co.nz

Any help would be very much appreciated.

    Thankyou

An update I have reduced further the image sizes on the front page which has only brought the page size down to 6.8mb (still big) My concern when I do a test on other pages that have far less content the size is still around 4mb. An example of this would be http://dev.fitnesscanterbury.co.nz/our-trainers/chris-weddell/. I took this back to very basic ie got rid of the gallery and the testimonials (have since added them back as it made very little difference), then ran a test on Pingdom Website Speed Test. It was still rated as C with 3.8mb which given what was on the page seems excessive. What else could be causing such a big page?

You can check it out at GTMetrix under Waterfall: https://gtmetrix.com/reports/dev.fitnesscanterbury.co.nz/JPZxEuaP
It seems like your footer image is too big: 2.6MB. Since it's covered by dark overlay, you can definitely reduce the size and quality & it will still look good.

Another thing is that, Divi Ultimate Child Theme already has the footer plugin's feature included. The standalone footer plugin is meant to be used on Divi site that doesn't use Divi Ultimate Child Theme. So, you can just delete the footer plugin from your site, to prevent duplicated CSS & features.

Thanks for your reply. That makes sense, I didn't realize I had doubled up the footer. I have deleted the plugin. Only thing is how then do I access the footer to change background image etc as it disappears when I use visual builder? The only way I could use visual builder was with he footer plugin. Apologies if this seems simplistic, i'm very new to this.
    Regards, Scott
